Where in the UK?
The 2008 route is top secret and the challenge is one of navigation as well as driving. Don't believe any rumours about the 08 route that you may read on other forums. However, do keep an eye on this blog for occassional clues...
New site launched
BBR are very pleased to announce the opening of the new britballrun site. This site has been re-vamped and developed for us by our sponsors for 2008, Kempt, we are particularly grateful to Anna Debenham who is working for them as an intern at the moment who has put in most of the grunt work to make it happen. Thanks Anna, we are sure that you will have an illustrious career. Best wishes DAN.
Batman (aka Andy) has injured his back.
Our very own Batman has been grounded.
It's the last time he shops at MFI.
The Blue Smartie is Back
For those of you who searched high and low and went to extremes to find the elusive Blue Smartie during last years Britball Run will be pleased to know The Blue Smartie is Back.
After being banished for three years for containing artificial ingredients. Maker Nestle have re-launched the Blue Smartie, this time round the colouring comes from a seaweed called spirulina.
Visit the official website and take part in the quiz, take note Britballers you may be asked any one of these question during the 08 Run :-)
2008 Route Update
Obviously the exact route details are only disclosed on each day of the event, but in order for Britballrun to commence as a legal and fully licenced event, exact route tracings are sent to the Motor Sports Association for route approval. This includes A3 tracings of 1:50,000 scale ordnance survey maps (in duplicate), which is nearly 2 inches thick - this is just one way that shows the detail and approval to make this event the only one of its kind.
Charity Auction - Entry to Britballrun 2008
Team KillerViral winners of last years Britballrun have kindly donated their prize entry to the 2008 run, to Rose Buddies Auctions to help us raise further funds for the Rose McGill Tribute Fund. This is a charity auction. All proceeds will be donated to Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology in memory of Rose McGill. By showing your support for the Oncology Centre, Ebay.co.uk will match your donation pound for pound.
