Interested in a different kind of car tour?
Britball Run is a 1,000-mile organised car tour with a difference, held on British soil. Our last event took us through Wales, East Anglia and the Cotswolds, with the Entrants raising thousands of pounds for charity along the way.
What's different about it?
Britball is not about chewing up tarmac. The emphasis is on team work, skill of navigation, forward planning, quick decision making and luck depending upon route taken and traffic volume. It's about driving across the UK whilst raising money for charity, and having a laugh along the way.
When is it?
This year, Britball is taking place over the August bank holiday weekend. Sign up now to avoid disappointment.
Where is it?
The event could take place anywhere in the UK. From the start venue, teams depart at one minute intervals and drive towards the first compulsory checkpoint. Only at this checkpoint will they know the location of the next. There will be 3 to 4 checkpoints per day which are approximately 100-150 miles apart. There are no predefined routes between checkpoints. At the last checkpoint you will be informed of the location of the finish line and overnight details.
How much does it cost?
The cost of entry is £250 per person with a minimum of 2 people per vehicle. Cost is inclusive of all accommodation, food and refreshments during the event (see "2008 Event" for details). A deposit of £50 per person will secure you a place in the Event.
Who can take part?
Any class of vehicle is invited to enter the event (check out BBR cars for an idea of who you'll be up against) and as long as you can adhere to the event rules we'd love to have you on board!
Is Britball legal?
Yes. BBR is a fully legal and authorised public road event, this is part of what makes BBR fun, safe and enjoyable.
We put a great deal of time and effort into liasing with all local constabularies that the event passes through, obtaining written approval from chief constables and then a license from the Motor Sports Association. Our vehicles are then approved to carry numbers and BBR-graphics...etc etc...not a simple planning procedure.
We have no association with unlicenced/unapproved events (on UK soil or even around Euro-land).
So, have look at what happened last year, check out the rules, perhaps even buy a tee shirt! But remember: Entries are accepted on a strict first-come-first-served basis so enter now!

Where in the UK?
The 2008 route is top secret and the challenge is one of navigation as well as driving. Don't believe any rumours about the 08 route that you may read on other forums. However, do keep an eye on this blog for occassional clues...
